Brookwood Medical Center Names New Board Chairman
Birmingham, AL... Brookwood Medical Center President and Chief Executive Officer Garry L. Gause is pleased to announce the appointment of Arlen Reynolds as Chairman of the Governing Board. Mr. Reynolds will serve as Chairman for two years, and will lead the Board of physicians and community members as they oversee and advise the hospital on its strategic plan and future developments.
For over 20 years, Mr. Reynolds ran acute care hospitals both domestically and internationally. Following his retirement from acute care hospital administration, he held the position of President of TeamCare, the 2nd largest institutional pharmacy company in America, with operations in 30 states.
Arlen Reynolds is now a private investor and a strategic advisor to healthcare companies. Mr. Reynolds currently serves on the President’s Council at Purdue University. He also serves on the Boards of The Hawthorn Group, a Washington, D.C. public affairs company, Nesco Industries in New York, and HealthForecasts in Nashville, TN. He is also a former member of the Board of Directors of HealthMont, Inc., a rural hospital management company, and the Susan G. Komen Foundation in Dallas, TX.
Mr. Reynolds’ involvement with area civic organizations includes membership in the Kiwanis Club of Chelsea, the Lutheran Church of Vestavia Hills, as well as many charitable organizations.
Mr. Reynolds and his wife, Arlene, are residents of Chelsea, Alabama.
