Brookwood Medical Center Names New Chief Financial Officer
Birmingham, AL…July 25,2005..Brookwood Medical Center is pleased to announce that Doug Carter has joined the hospital as its new Chief Financial Officer. Doug comes to Birmingham from Omaha, Nebraska, where he served as CFO for another Tenet hospital, Creighton University Medical Center. Doug has been with Tenet since 1994, where he has held financial positions with hospitals in Missouri, Florida and Nebraska. Doug received Tenet’s Outstanding CFO Award in both 2001 and 2003, and Tenet’s Gold Standard for HIM Performance in 2002.

Carter is a CPA, who received his BA in Accounting from the University of Missouri. He has an MBA from St. Louis University, and is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association, and the American College of Healthcare Executives.
Doug and his wife, Bridget, have three daughters: Emily (10), Allison (9) and Madison (4).
