About Brookwood Medical Center
Brookwood Medical Center is a 586-bed full service medical facility. With a workforce of over 2,500 employees and volunteers that support the medical center, we have been recognized for our growth and leadership in designing innovative medical programs and services. For over 30 years we have provided high quality health care for families throughout central Alabama and surrounding areas. Over 800 privately practicing physicians treat and refer patients to Brookwood, with over 300 physicians practicing in offices located in one of the four professional office buildings connected to the hospital.
Reaching a Healthy Community
Reaching out to our community is an important focus for Brookwood Medical Center. In an effort to meet the health care education requests of the communities we serve, we have designed a Speakers Bureau program. Our healthcare professionals are available to provide community organizations with timely information on a variety of health and wellness related topics. We seek opportunities to meet the educational needs of churches, clubs, businesses, and civic groups who would benefit from information about topics related to -
