In memory of  Dr. Evan Zeiger

1949 - 2010

Nationally recognized for his contributions to neurosurgery, Dr. Zeiger’s death will be felt throughout Brookwood Medical Center and the Birmingham medical community. He will be remembered as a surgeon of the highest caliber and a man of utmost compassion and grace. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Zeiger family.

The Norwood Clinic website will be updated with funeral arrangements for Dr. Zeiger as they become available.

Brookwood Medical Center has been closely monitoring the H1N1 (swine) flu situation in the United States. We take the health and safety of our community, patients and employees very seriously.  As with any infectious illness, we have stringent processes in place to manage and contain the situation.  We ask that if you are ill, that you do not visit patients.  School age children or any child under age 12 should also not visit hospitalized patients. We thank you for helping us maintain the safety of those in our care.  Visit the Alabama Department of Public Health for more info.
