Brookwood Earns Gold-Plus Performance Award from AHA

Brookwood Medical Center has been recognized by the American Heart Association's Get With The Guidelines program for implementing quality cardiac care measures.

Get With The Guidelines is a hospital-based quality improvement program designed to ensure that hospitals consistently care for cardiac and stroke patients using the most up-to-date guidelines and recommendations.

Brookwood Medical Center, one of forty-nine Tenet hospitals to receive recognition, earned the Gold-Plus Performance Award. The Gold-Plus Performance Award honors current gold performance award hospitals that have demonstrated an additional 75 percent compliance with heart failure specific quality measures for at least 12 months.

The American Heart Association and American Stroke Association recognize this hospital for achieving 85% or higher adherence to all Get With The Guidelines Heart Failure Performance Achievement indicators for consecutive 12 month intervals and 75% or higher compliance with 4 of 9 Get With The Guidelines Heart Failure Quality Measures to improve quality of patient care and outcomes.
