Brookwood Medical Center is pleased to announce that Kerry R. Tirman has joined the hospital as its new Chief Operating Officer.
Mr. Tirman comes to Birmingham from Meridian, MS where he served as CEO of Riley Hospital, a 180-bed hospital owned by HMA.
Mr. Tirman’s healthcare experience includes serving as Associate Executive Director/COO and Interim CEO for Midwest Regional Medical Center (2003-05), and Chief Compliance Officer and Administrator of Support Systems for Singing River Hospital in Pascagoula, MS.
Prior to his career in healthcare, Mr. Tirman worked as a performance improvement management consultant, and as a Lieutenant in the United States Navy, serving in Surface Warfare.
Mr. Tirman received his undergraduate degree in Mathematics from U. S. Naval Academy, and his JD/MBA from Tulane University.
