The nursing shortage has reached crisis proportions in many areas of the country and is now considered to be a worldwide phenomenon that is jeopardizing health care and creating stressful working conditions for nurses. In a recent study by Penn State researchers, 69 nations and every geographic region reported their countries were experiencing a nursing shortage. Nursing faculty shortages are even more acute.

The Brookwood Medical Center Statewide Professional Nursing Speakers Bureau has faculty available to lecture on a variety of timely topics related to Nursing and health care (clinical, administration, research, education). Speakers will be available to schools of Nursing across the state at no cost.
