Brookwood Medical Center announces the 2009 Women’s Comprehensive Care Update: Cruising for CEUs conference. Sail date is Thursday, April 30, 2009 leaving port from Mobile, Alabama heading to Cozumel, Mexico and returning to port Monday, May 4, 2009.

Keynote speaker is Antonio Gonzalez-Ruiz, M.D., Maternal- Fetal Medicine Specialist at Brookwood Medical Center. Dr. Gonzalez-Ruiz will present topics related to improving care in high-risk obstetrics as well as information on 17 Alpha-Hydroxyprogesterone Caproate (17P) and its effects on obstetric outcomes.

Other conference topics include:

  • Postpartum Depression
  • Nursing Management in Second Stage Labor
  • OB Emergencies
  • Beginning the Breastfeeding Journey
  • Time management and Stress management

Who should attend? Nursing professionals who specialize in women’s care. A maximum of 24 nursing CEUs are being offered during the conference. Family and guests are welcome.
