Expanding to meet the needs of our growing coummunity 

The Brookwood Center for Mental Health is one of Alabama’s largest behavioral health programs. Our inpatient program is comprised of multiple units, each designed to meet the individual needs of our adult patients. We also offer a partial hospitalization program for those patients who do not require an overnight stay but who need more than outpatient counseling to realize their fullest potential. In addition to offering comprehensive inpatient and outpatient treatment options, the Center for Mental Health at Brookwood Medical Center offers a full range of adjunctive therapy options. Our staff includes board-certified physicians, 24-hour nursing coverage provided by registered nurses and licensed practical nurses, mental health associates, recreational therapists, occupational therapists, discharge planners, licensed clinical social workers, licensed professional counselors, and art therapists. Once the expansion has been completed, the Brookwood Center for Mental Health will operate 138 beds.

• Addition of 22 rooms (43 beds) in two new units
