Our lactation consultants are registered nurses with special training, extensive experience, and certification in counseling and assisting breastfeeding mothers. If you make the decision to breastfeed or have already begun breastfeeding, we are here to help you.

The lactation center offers a variety of services:

• Consultations with a certified lactation consultant during and after your stay at the hospital
• Office consultation for mothers-to-be who are considering breastfeeding and for mothers who have already begun breastfeeding
• Breastfeeding Support Groups
• Breastfeeding helpline for assistance with common problems:

• Breast pumps available to rent or purchase
• Nursing bras and fittings
• Helpful accessories and items for breastfeeding and pumping
• Educational materials

A prenatal breastfeeding class is available for expectant mothers who are considering or have already decided to breastfeed. Expectant mothers who have had previous difficulty with breastfeeding may also benefit from the class.
