After baby arrives, we want to ensure that you and your family are as comfortable as possible.
q Mother-Baby Unit - Brookwood’s unique mother-baby unit provides care after the delivery of your baby. Nurses in this unit are specially trained to teach new mothers about caring for themselves and their newborns and lactation consultants are available to help you learn breastfeeding techniques. The Mother Baby Suites are private rooms, which have recently been renovated, and provide a home-like environment with a focus on caring for you and your new baby. The rooms feature flat-screen televisions, all-new furnishings and fixtures, in-room refrigerators, Wi-Fi access, room service, and special sleeper sofas for fathers and family members.
q Well-Baby Nursery is an important aspect of newborn care at Brookwood. The baby has its first visit with a pediatrician in the nursery and our friendly staff provide each baby with special care and attention. As a new mom, you can relax, knowing your baby is being well cared for by a nursing staff that specializes in newborn care.
q Neonatal Intensive Care Unit - Brookwood’s Level III, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is designed to care for our tiniest patients. Staffed with board-certified neonatologists, neonatal respiratory therapists, and registered nurses who are certified in infant CPR, drug intervention, and advanced life support, we deliver a level of support and compassion that families truly value. Brookwood also offers a Neonatal Transport Service to newborns who were delivered at another hospital in the region, but require the resources available at our NICU after birth.
