Cell Phones

Cell Phones are now a part of our daily life. Unfortunately, cell phones and some medical equipment like ventilators, IV pumps and monitors operate on the same frequencies.  Therefore, cell phones can cause medical equipment to malfunction, and the use of cellular phones is prohibited anywhere inside the hospital.  While you are in the hospital, cell phones should be turned off to incoming calls. Thank you for helping to maintain a safe environment for our patients.


Fire Drills

Periodically the hospital conducts fire drills incompliance with local fire safety laws and hospital accreditation standards.  Your nuse will keep you informed should this oocur.  We request that you remain calm and stay where you are, unless told to do otherwise by the hospital staff.


Lost and Found Items

Although Brookwood Medical Center cannot assume responsibility for any items brought into the hospital, we will make feasible efforts to find lost items.  If you lose something, please notify your nurse right away.  They will make every effort to help you find the lost article.  To inquire about a lost article, please call Security at 877-1675.


Smoke Free Campus

As part of our commitment to providing a safe and healthy environment for our patients, visitors and staff, smoking is strictly prohibited in the hospital and on the Brookwood Medical Center Campus.  Visitors may smoke in designated areas on the second and fourth floors of the green parking area in the visitor parking deck.  In the interest of your health and safety and the health of others, please observe our smoke free policy.
