Permission from your physician is required.

Prenatal Fitness Classes

Prenatal Water Aerobics. This class is an excellent way for women to exercise during pregnancy. The classes are held in an indoor, heated pool and include cardiovascular conditioning, muscular strength and endurance conditioning, as well as stretching. With low impact on joints and bones, our aquatic exercises are designed to help improve posture and balance, reduce swelling, and promote a speedy recovery after delivery.

Prenatal Yoga. Discover the unique way to keep your body and mind in shape during your pregnancy. This gentle yoga class is appropriate for any trimester and includes yoga postures designed to improve circulation and digestion, strengthen and stretch muscles, and relieve common tensions associated with pregnancy. Participants will learn proper body alignment and focus on breathing. Prior yoga experience is not required.

Postnatal Fitness Classes

Stroller Moms. Bring your baby and stroller and get a great workout while enjoying the outdoors and meeting other new Moms.  This class provides excellent cardiovascular conditioning, as well as a variety of exercises designed to tone your post-baby body.  We incorporate strength training stations along our stroller route to keep both Mom and baby interested and finish with stretching.  This class helps to increase your energy to cope with demands of motherhood, and best of all, no babysitter required!

Aquafit. Our regular water aerobics classes are a wonderful way to ease back into exercise and get back in shape after baby.  With little impact on bones and joints, you will enjoy a variety of exercises designed to improve cardio-respiratory endurance, muscular strength, and endurance, flexibility and body composition for general health and well-being.

Classes are open to anyone in the community, regardless of hospital chosen for delivery.
