From brand-new furniture and flooring to soothing walls and décor, the updates provide our patients and families with a comfortable environment to receive their treatments.
Upgrades to the Cancer Care Center also include:
- A new 16-slice CT Simulator, which is used to scan patients and plan radiation therapy
- A four-dimensional respiratory gating system that allows for less healthy tissue to be irradiated during treatments of lung and abdominal cancers
- An expansion from three examination rooms to five
- Brand-new examination tables
- An electric bariatric table for people with limited mobility
- A new head and neck examination room to treat specific cancers
- Mens and womens private dressing rooms with lockers
