Everyday life can be overwhelming and sometimes people need help coping with their problems. It may not require an overnight hospital stay, but can be serious enough that outpatient counseling is not enough. To meet these needs, Brookwood Medical Center offers “The Inner Path” Partial Hospitalization Program.
What is Partial Hospitalization Program?
For many of our patients, PHP is utilized to prevent the need for inpatient treatment or to provide a less restrictive treatment option for patients discharging from the hospital. Partial Hospitalization participants benefit from returning home in the evenings and maintain important connections to their family, friends and community. This creates the opportunity to practice new skills and promote confidence, independence and develop positive changes. Our mission statement is: “To provide outstanding, innovative intensive day treatment for the remediation of behavioral health symptoms, strengthening the ability of our patients to live with greater enthusiasm and balance.”
The Inner Path is a comprehensive, short-term outpatient program that provides a variety of therapy and education groups to help patients understand their problems and improve their coping skills. Each patient participates in a psychiatric evaluation, clinical assessment and treatment. Weekly treatment team meetings take place to review each patient’s ongoing progress and treatment, as well as plan for care after discharge.

Directions:
From Hwy 31, turn onto Brookwood Medical Drive and turn right into the parking deck. Or from Lakeshore Boulevard, turn onto Brookwood Boulevard and then turn right on Brookwood Medical Center Drive and turn left into the parking deck. Park your car in the GREEN section of the parking deck. Take the GREEN crosswalk to the Ambulatory Care Center (ACC). We are located in the ACC. Enter through the double glass doors (sign on building reads “Heart & Vascular Center”), pass the ER waiting room, continue to follow the hallway, and then take the first set of elevators on the right. Take elevator to the 2nd floor, turn right when you exit the elevator and go to the last door on the right (Suite 215).
