Billing and Insurance
We have dedicated staff available to answer any questions you might have about your hospital bill and insurance coverage.
We accept a wide variety of medical insurance providers. Since we often have changes to the list, it is best to check with our business office to verify your insurance coverage details. For assistance, call us at (205) 877-5449.
Patient Financial Services
We understand how important it is for you to plan and manage your health care costs. Our patient access representatives, located in the Registration/Admitting area of our hospital, are available to help make financial arrangements and discuss any questions you may have about the costs associated with your hospital stay.
We can also provide an estimated out-of-pocket price for your procedure(s) and assist in making payment arrangements that are right for you. For patients who don’t have insurance coverage, we can help you obtain discounted pricing, similar to what insurance providers may pay, or apply for financial assistance programs for which you may qualify.
We also encourage you to seek Medicare or Medicaid eligibility in order to reduce your personal out-of-pocket costs. You also may consider learning more about the Health Insurance Marketplace by visiting PathToHealth, where you can determine which plans would be right for you. Contact our patient access representatives at (205) 877-2360 or (205) 877-5449.

Co-payments, deductibles and other charges not covered by your insurance are your responsibility to pay. You will receive a statement by mail for any balance due after your insurance company has processed your claim. Payment is due upon receipt. Your hospital charges do not include fees you may be charged by physicians that may handle your care, such as radiologists, anesthesiologists, surgeons, hospitalists, pathologists, and others, even if they are caring for you during your stay at the hospital. You will receive separate statements for those services.
